Card Climber is one of the most exciting games to come to online casinos in a long time. The game was developed by Microgaming, creators of one of the most respected casino software platforms in Europe. Microgaming is known for their unique slots and colorful table games, but they really outdid themselves with Card Climber. Anyone familiar with the old American game show Card Sharks will recognize Microgaming's Card Climber. The game is a version of hi/lo, but you have to complete a chain of five cards to win. In addition, Card Climber uses a five-level system, so you can continue to grow your winnings up to the 10,000x multiplier jackpot.
Card climber starts with a base card dealt face-up and a series of five cards dealt face-down. After you set your initial bet, which can range from 0.10 credits to 100 credits, your cards are dealt. You have to choose whether the first face-down card is higher or lower than the base card. If you guess correctly, you have to guess whether the next card is higher or lower than the card before it. This continues until you have guessed all five cards correctly.
When you complete a level, you have to choose if you want to take your payout, ending the game, or move on to the next level. However, you have to choose wisely because this is an all-or-nothing game. If you make a mistake on the next level, then you lose your winnings from the previous levels.
The prizes you can win go up with each level. For completing and stopping at the end of the first level, you are awarded a 5x multiplier payout. If you go on to complete the second level, the prize grows to a 33x multiplier. At the end of the third level, the prize is a 197x multiplier, and for completing the fourth level, which is the last of the regular levels, you win a 1,177x multiplier prize. The fifth level is the Bonus Game. When you complete the Bonus Game level, you are randomly awarded one of ten jackpots that start at a 3,000x multiplier and range upward to the 10,000x top prize.
