Las Vegas visitors often have one thing on their minds: gambling. With all of the deluxe casinos available on the Las Vegas Strip, this fact is not surprising. Sometimes, however, a bleary-eyed gambler craves a change of scene. The hotels of Las Vegas do not disappoint when it comes to musical entertainment. This spring, Las Vegas guests can choose from a myriad of fantastic musical offerings on the Strip. Three hotels offering notable concerts in spring 2013 are Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand Las Vegas, and Caesar's Palace.

Mandalay Bay, a premier hotel and casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip, features 135,000 square feet of gambling space. Guests enjoy a tropically themed environment with seemingly endless table games and slots. Beach-loving guests can bet in their bathing suits and flip flops in Mandalay Bay's famous Beach Casino.

This deluxe vacation destination, however, is not just about atmospheric tables and slots. Guests at Mandalay Bay enjoy a wide variety of musical entertainment as well.

Carrie Underwood, the American Idol star who has charmed country and pop fans alike with her sweet and soulful voice, rocked the Mandalay Bay stage on Saturday, March 2nd.

The 29-year-old songstress graced the casino stage as part of her "Blown Away" tour, treating audience to rousing renditions of "Undo It," "Cowboy Cassanova," and the beloved "Before He Cheats." Las Vegas Weekly blogger Josh Bell compared Underwood's performance to her 2010 appearance in Orleans Arena favorably, saying the diva seems to have successfully progressed from a "wannabe" pop star to the genuine article.

Mandalay Bay also features long-running Broadway performances for the public to enjoy. Notable past productions include Mamma Mia!, which closed in early 2009, and Disney's The Lion King, which ran at the resort for two years. Tickets went on sale for a new Cirque du Soleil feature, "Michael Jackson: ONE," on March 7th.

Mandalay Bay will feature the sultry contralto vocals of singer and pianist Alicia Keys in her "Set the World on Fire" tour March 15th. Pop wonder group Maroon 5 will grace the stage the very next night, on March 16th. Other acts booked for spring and summer include Rihanna and a package concert featuring groups New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees, and Boyz II Men.

In addition to numerous concerts and Broadway productions, the Mandalay Bay Events Center has hosted many boxing and fighting matches, the Latin Grammy Awards, and the Miss Universe pageant.

The MGM Grand of Las Vegas is one of the world's largest gambling venues, featuring over 2,500 slot machines and 139 gaming tables. Patrons looking for an entertainment break can take in a concert at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. This theater seats over 16,000 people and is the home of many major entertainment events, including the Billboard Music Awards.

This spring, MGM Garden Arena will entice young and old alike with a series of unforgettable concerts. Fans of old time 70s music will enjoy the Eagles, one of America's greatest rock and country crossover bands, on March 23rd.

Legendary Jon Bon Jovi, who blasted onto the rock and roll scene in the 80s and continues to release new music today, will take the MGM stage on April 20th. Class act Fleetwood Mac, formed in the 60s and still alive and kicking today, will appear on May 26th.

Looking toward the summer of 2013, gamblers and music fans will enjoy a number of hit musical acts at MGM's arena. Two notable guests fans are sure to enjoy are preteen heartthrob Justin Bieber and R&B star Beyonce, of Dreamgirls and Destiny's Child fame.

Caesar's Palace is a longstanding fixture in Las Vegas. Since 1966, the luxurious hotel with the world famous waterfall has provided guests with a superior gambling experience. The casino offers a plethora of slots and a wide variety of table games, including craps, roulette, blackjack (read more), baccarat, and Pai Gow Tiles.

Guests who seek a break from the casino floor can relax with a show at the hotel's famous theater, the Colosseum. The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace is a spacious auditorium with over 4,000 seats. Originally built for performances by superstar Celine Dion, the stage has since been shared by other big names like Bette Midler, Elton John, and Cher.

After taking a hiatus from Las Vegas entertaining, Celine Dion returned to the Caesar's Palace stage in 2011 to fulfill a three-year contract of performances simply titled "Celine." This concert features the Grammy-winning artist's standard and most popular hits, as well as some "unexpected" covers, according to the Caesar's Palace website. Shows run five nights per week with ticket prices starting at $55. Dion's presence at Caesar's has become as culturally significant as the hotel itself.

World-famous Elton John is another fixture at the Colosseum, performing his Million Dollar Piano show four nights per week. Since December 2012, Shania Twain has graced The Colosseum's stage regularly as part of her "Still the One" tour, in which the international country pop star performs her standard hits.

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld will entertain audiences for two nights in April when he visits the hotel for a pair of performances. Rock favorite Rod Stewart will croon his hits at Caesar's in late July and early August 2013.

When people think of Las Vegas, they often think of long, hot nights spent playing slot machines and table games. The glamorous hotels on the Las Vegas Strip have much more to offer than just gambling, however. Each casino offers a list of tantalizing musical acts which beckon guests to come inside, sit down, and take a rest from the gambling rush. This spring, three casinos in particular offer an exciting roster of performance guests: Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, and Caesar's Palace.
